This is so awkward.
I’m 15 and I’ve always used ‘boy shorts’
But I’ve recently started dance, and we shouldn’t be using underwear unless it doesn’t show aka a thong.
I just think it will be so awkward to ask my mom for a thong… what do I do?

Just be up front with your Mom. If its for dance, the she shouldn’t think anything bad about you asking…besides, just be honest; tell her you actually find them a little “slutty” (just like you said), but you’re not supposed to be showing panty lines at dance. I’d bet she won’t freak out on you; in fact, she’ll probably tell you to go pick out your own thongs. Good luck!
i think they’re a little slutty too, but it doesnt really matter, cause no one except your mom [cause she probably does your laundry], yourself, and maybe even your boyfriend or something.

I play volleyball and I have the same problem.
Just ask her I guess.
Dance is a pretty good excuse to get one anyway. And don’t try buying it on your own because she will probably find out when she does the laundry. Unless you do your own then thats another story..
Ur mom shouldnt be ur best friend////u should be shy to ask her for dat…i was wearing thongs since i was 13 my 12 year old sister wears thong and my mom buys it for her…dont be shy…moms are the best…im a mom!! and ima be a cool mom wen my baby grow up!!
welll i would say ask her but just tell her that you NEED it for dance
she should say yes if she wants you to do good in dance that is what i did
Just tell your mom that your dance teacher/coach told everyone that they can’t have panty lines and that you are supposed to wear thongs under your uniforms now. It’s really not a big deal.

Just straight up ask her. That’s what I had to do. Yeah, it was kinda awkward but after you ask then you get to buy them all the time without hesitation!

just ask for money to go to the plaza or something like that and buy one or just ask to get new underwear and get one
